About the Artist

Hi there, I'm Julia!

I'm the artist behind all things Juju Creates Art. I’m a full time artist based in Redondo Beach, California, and I create vibrant palette knife paintings featuring bold colors and thick texture.

Originally from Kansas, I have been painting my entire life. I nurtured this creative passion by studying fine arts my first year of college at Columbia College Chicago. However, my passion for art coincides with my passion for traveling and experiencing new places, which ultimately led to me graduating from the University of Sydney in Australia. I’ve also lived in Tokyo and London and have gained much of my artistic inspiration from these vibrant cities.

My Work

Since finding what feels like home in California, my art has flourished and has taken on a new direction that reflects the beauty of the landscape. I am infatuated with the stunning and diverse vistas of California, and my artwork reflects my love for our surf culture, native flowers, and national parks.

Through my work, I aim to inspire a sense of joy and curiosity in my viewers. With my signature palette knife style, my paintings emulate the beauty of the natural world around us and add a refreshing and unique pop of color to any space. I am truly so honored that I get to share my art with the world, and that my collectors connect so deeply with my work.
