Birch trees are one of my favorite subjects to paint! I use crackle paste for their trunks to develop really beautiful textured details. This piece depicts various textured birch trees with green leaves against a blue spring sky. In the distance is a tree line adding depth to the piece. At the base of the birch trees are purple coneflowers with thick, textured petals.
