It depicts a cloudy morning in cool tones of blue, purple, and muted green. The gray-blue sky blends into the ocean on the horizon. The purple hills of Big Sur extend into the distance. The signature bright turquoise water of Big Sur is in the cove in the foreground. Purple Tower of Jewel flowers are seen all over Big Sur, and they rise tall in the foreground of this piece.
