Part of my 'California in Bloom' series, this landscape is of El Matador beach in Malibu, California. In the spring time the path leading to the beach blooms with hundreds of yellow wildflowers. The sunset is a glowing orange and pink array of textured paint strokes. The water is a light cerulean blue with reflections of the sky on the water. The flowers extend over the beach path with their wild stems and thick texture.
